The members of Augusta Surgical Group are committed to the use of advanced laparoscopic techniques for appropriate surgical procedures.  Research has shown that patients benefit from decreased anesthesia time and have much more rapid, pain-free recovery with laparoscopy.  The surgeons at Augusta Surgical are trained and routinely perform laparoscopic procedures which include: anti-reflux surgery, splenectomy, adrenalectomy, stomach and small bowel surgery, and even abdominal hernia repairs.

More frequently, larger intestinal procedures such as colectomies, appendectomies, and even gastrectomies are being performed laparoscopically and the surgeons at ASG continue to increase the scope of operations that can be done through a laparoscope.
